# One More Pass

> One More Pass is a transparent literary project that gives public-domain classics one more careful, human-directed editorial pass and shows readers what changed.

## Canonical facts

- Canonical website: https://onemorepassbooks.com/
- Current featured experiment: The War of the Worlds — One More Pass Edition, based on H. G. Wells's 1898 classic.
- Current status: All seven titles have publisher-confirmed Kindle and paperback editions. Amazon Germany currently has direct per-title buy links for 6 Kindle and 6 paperback editions. Check-format links open the One More Pass series filtered to: The Turn of the Screw (Paperback); The Woman in White (Kindle). Original readers and selected comparisons are also available. Prequels, sequels and public branching remain in development.
- Coming soon: a new prequel and sequel inspired by each of the seven original novels, grouped into planned collections. The Wells pair is in development; the other six pairs are planned. Amazon releases are planned after completion and review; dates are unannounced.
- The companion catalogue covers seven classics: Dracula; The Turn of the Screw; Frankenstein; The Moonstone; The Great Gatsby; The Woman in White; and The War of the Worlds.
- The project tests bounded changes to pacing, continuity, character agency and scene pressure while looking for losses in strangeness, narrative distance and authorial texture.

## Editorial method

1. Analyse what is weak and what must be protected.
2. Make a bounded set of changes.
3. Challenge the rewrite for unintended losses.
4. Document the significant choices and trade-offs.
5. Let readers compare the original and the experiment.

## Important distinctions

- One More Pass is AI-assisted, but human-directed and source-bound.
- The original text remains a valid answer; the project does not claim to correct classic books or replace their authors.
- The catalog shows available original readers and comparison candidates; further series editions are in preparation.
- Planned public branching: choose any sentence boundary in an original or one of our editions and create one complete private manuscript for $8.99, downloadable and shareable by choice. Public ordering and generation are coming soon.
